Aimed at students in grades 4 to 8, the CJMC is an engaging activity that sparks students\u2019 enthusiasm for mathematics, while helping teachers enhance their math curriculum and develop their students\u2019 problem-solving skills. This year\u2019s competition was held on November 21, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For its fifth edition, the 2024 CJMC attracted nearly 3,500 participants. This included 640 participants from 10 different countries outside of Canada. The mean score was 38.5 out of 80, with a median score of 36 out of 80. The top quartile scored 52\/80 or higher. This year, 75 students obtained perfect scores. Congratulations to all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chair of the CMS-CJMC Committee, Dr. Nicolae Strungaru (MacEwan University), is pleased with this year\u2019s competition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWe are happy to see that the contest is growing, and we hope to see even more people next year\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Further statistics are available on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cms.math.ca\/competitions\/cjmc\/cjmc2024\/\">competition website<\/a>.
