The term \u201cclassical analysis\u201d was chosen by Paul himself for the conference organized in his honor at the CRM in 2003. He passed away in Montreal in July 2025. More information about Paul\u2019s life and contributions can be found in the following article:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crmath.ca\/horaire\/2025\/Publications\/pdf\/2025_PaulKoosis.pdf\">https:\/\/www.crmath.ca\/horaire\/2025\/Publications\/pdf\/2025_PaulKoosis.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This two-day conference at the CRM aims to celebrate Paul\u2019s profound influence on classical analysis, particularly its impact on current research, and to expose young researchers to the depth and beauty of the subject.
