{"id":18579,"date":"2024-08-28T13:12:48","date_gmt":"2024-08-28T17:12:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mathmatters.cms.math.ca\/article\/nouveaute-call-for-nominations-2025-crm-fields-pims-prize\/"},"modified":"2024-09-27T13:20:47","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T17:20:47","slug":"nouveaute-call-for-nominations-2025-crm-fields-pims-prize","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/mathmatters.cms.math.ca\/fr\/article\/nouveaute-call-for-nominations-2025-crm-fields-pims-prize\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Nominations: 2025 CRM-Fields-PIMS Prize"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>August 26, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 The Centre de recherches math\u00e9matiques (CRM), the Fields Institute, and the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) are now accepting nominations for the prestigious CRM-Fields-PIMS Prize.<\/p>\n\n<p>Recognized as the premier research award in Canadian mathematics, the CRM-Fields-PIMS Prize honours individuals who have made outstanding advancements in mathematical research. The recipient, chosen by a selection committee representing all three institutes, will receive a monetary award and the opportunity to deliver a lecture at each institute within one year of receiving the prize.<\/p>\n\n<p>The deadline for nominations is <strong>November 1, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Nominations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Nominations should be submitted by\u00a0<strong><em>November 1st<\/em><\/strong> by at least two nominators who are leaders in the mathematics community.\u00a0<strong>We particularly encourage nominations of women and of members of underrepresented groups.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The following elements should be included:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One (1) nomination letter from both nominators\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three (3) reference letters from individuals other than the two nominators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The nominee&rsquo;s:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>curriculum vitae<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>list of publications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(up to) four preprints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>If you have any questions about the prize, please contact nominations@pims.math.ca. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Nominations will remain active for two years.
