Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement international majeur se tiendra du 1er au 6 ao\u00fbt 2027. La SMC supervisera l\u2019ensemble de la planification logistique et des besoins op\u00e9rationnels de la conf\u00e9rence au nom de la Inverse Problems International Association.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p>Les probl\u00e8mes inverses constituent une branche des math\u00e9matiques sur laquelle reposent de nombreuses applications importantes : les technologies d\u2019imagerie m\u00e9dicale (telles que la tomodensitom\u00e9trie, l\u2019IRM, l\u2019\u00e9chographie et autres) ; la t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection par satellite ; l\u2019imagerie g\u00e9ophysique ; les contr\u00f4les non destructifs du b\u00e2ti ; diverses applications pour montres connect\u00e9es \u2014 parmi bien d\u2019autres. Le probl\u00e8me math\u00e9matique sous-jacent concerne la relation entre les solutions d\u2019\u00e9quations aux d\u00e9riv\u00e9es partielles dans une r\u00e9gion restreinte, qui correspondent aux donn\u00e9es observ\u00e9es, et les coefficients variables de ces \u00e9quations, qui codent la structure physique. La prestigieuse r\u00e9union biennale PIA comprend des conf\u00e9rences pl\u00e9ni\u00e8res donn\u00e9es par des math\u00e9maticiens renomm\u00e9s et de nombreux mini-symposiums sur une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de sujets sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n<p>En tant qu\u2019organisation math\u00e9matique la plus grande du Canada, la SMC est particuli\u00e8rement bien plac\u00e9e pour organiser et accueillir une conf\u00e9rence de l\u2019ampleur et de l\u2019importance de la Conf\u00e9rence PIA de 2027. Le personnel de la SMC dispose de la formation, de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience, de l\u2019infrastructure et des ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour assurer le succ\u00e8s d\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement international d\u2019une telle envergure.<\/p>\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa port\u00e9e nationale, \u00e0 son expertise reconnue et \u00e0 sa capacit\u00e9 av\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 soutenir des \u00e9v\u00e9nements math\u00e9matiques majeurs, la SMC est parfaitement \u00e9quip\u00e9e pour agir en tant que partenaire de confiance en mati\u00e8re de planification et de logistique aupr\u00e8s d\u2019autres organisations souhaitant faciliter, organiser ou accueillir des conf\u00e9rences math\u00e9matiques au-del\u00e0 de la Conf\u00e9rence PIA de 2027.
