Call for nominations – ICIAM Education and Financial Committees
ICIAM (International Council of Industrial and Applied Mathematics) is a worldwide organization, representing applied and industrial mathematics across all regions of the globe, it is essential that its committees reflect this international breadth. At present, the nominations received for the two committees are predominantly from Europe. While we highly value these contributions, we would like to ensure a broader geographical spread, so that regional perspectives—particularly with respect to educational practices, challenges, and funding environments in different parts of the world—are adequately represented and taken into account.
We therefore kindly to invite interested CMS members with relevant administrative experience for one or both of the following committees:
The Education Committee, which will guide and coordinate ICIAM’s educational activities and initiatives worldwide.
The Funding Committee, which will identify and explore sources of support for current and future ICIAM activities.
We strongly encourage nominations that help achieve a balanced, inclusive, and globally representative composition of these committees. Should a large number of nominations be received, a careful selection will be made with these principles in mind.
We kindly ask that nominations be submitted no later than February 7. Nominations should be sent to either CMS representative at ICIAM Elena Braverman or directly to the ICIAM Secretary at secretary@iciam.org.
