M2PI (Math to Power Industry)
M2PI (Math to Power Industry) is a short, intensive program, held annually since 2020, that connects industry, government, and non-profit organizations with graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to address real-world challenges using advanced mathematics and data-driven methods. It provides a high-impact setting in which emerging talent works directly on partner challenges, delivering useful outcomes while helping build Canada’s next generation of innovation-ready experts.
M2PI 2026 will run from May 25 to June 12, 2026.
We are currently welcoming:
- partner challenge submissions on a rolling basis, with late submissions considered as capacity allows
- graduate student and postdoctoral participants
- sponsors interested in supporting the program
Through M2PI:
- organizations submit real-world challenges
- small teams of highly trained trainees work on them
- mentors guide the process
- teams deliver practical insights, models, and solutions
