NEW: Girls’ Math Team Canada Celebrates Success at 2026 EGMO
Ottawa, ON – The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is proud to announce the results of Girls’ Math Team Canada at the 2026 European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO), held from April 9th to April 15th in Bordeaux, France.
Representing Canada were:
- Zhiwei (Cora) Cong (Appleby College, Grade 12), Honourable Mention (one point shy of a Bronze Medal!)
- Riley Jin (West Island College, Grade 10)
- Greta Qu (Mentor College, Grade 11), Silver Medal
- Sophie Zhang (Havergal College, Grade 12), Gold Medal
The CMS gratefully acknowledges Jane Street for its generous support, which made Girls’ Math Team Canada’s participation in the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad possible.
