Conference on Classical Analysis in Memory of Paul Koosis
May 1–2, 2026
Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM), Montreal
Paul Koosis was an internationally recognized expert in harmonic analysis and function theory, as well as a truly unique and inspiring human being. The term “classical analysis” was chosen by Paul himself for the conference organized in his honor at the CRM in 2003. He passed away in Montreal in July 2025. More information about Paul’s life and contributions can be found in the following article:

This two-day conference at the CRM aims to celebrate Paul’s profound influence on classical analysis, particularly its impact on current research, and to expose young researchers to the depth and beauty of the subject. While generations have changed, Paul’s vision continues to shape the field in a tangible and lasting way.
