Call for Nominations: 2025 CRM-Fields-PIMS Prize
August 26, 2024 – The Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM), the Fields Institute, and the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) are now accepting nominations for the prestigious CRM-Fields-PIMS Prize.
Recognized as the premier research award in Canadian mathematics, the CRM-Fields-PIMS Prize honours individuals who have made outstanding advancements in mathematical research. The recipient, chosen by a selection committee representing all three institutes, will receive a monetary award and the opportunity to deliver a lecture at each institute within one year of receiving the prize.
The deadline for nominations is November 1, 2024.
Nominations
Nominations should be submitted by November 1st by at least two nominators who are leaders in the mathematics community. We particularly encourage nominations of women and of members of underrepresented groups.
The following elements should be included:
- One (1) nomination letter from both nominators
- Three (3) reference letters from individuals other than the two nominators
- The nominee’s:
- curriculum vitae
- list of publications
- (up to) four preprints
If you have any questions about the prize, please contact nominations@pims.math.ca. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Nominations will remain active for two years. At most one prize will be awarded during any academic year (September – August).
