WiSE Program
Hello,
Jane Street is excited to share an upcoming pre-college summer opportunity – WiSE!
WiSE is a two day program for self-identifying women, transgender, and gender-expansive people graduating from high school this spring. WiSE is an opportunity for participants to spend time in the Jane Street office learning more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it. It is also a great opportunity for participants to meet their peers who are also interested in studying STEM. There is no cost to participate in this program; travel and accommodations for the trip to NYC will be covered by Jane Street.
The dates for this program are July 28th through July 31st. WiSE does not require a prior knowledge of finance, only an interest in learning more about these areas and how they might apply to a future career at Jane Street. The deadline to apply is Sunday, June 16th.
We hope that you will share this opportunity with high school seniors in your network who may be interested in applying. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to wise@janestreet.com
Best,
Kenzie

This summer, Jane Street is excited to host our 12th annual WiSE program in New York City! We are inviting self-identifying women, transgender, and gender-expansive people graduating from high school this spring to spend two days in our office learning more about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.
Individuals who are selected to attend this event will receive an in-depth look into the ways we use math, computer science, and probability concepts in trading, as well as insight into the different roles that exist within our firm. Participants will hear from and interact with various traders and technologists and learn how they transitioned from their college concentrations in STEM fields to careers at Jane Street. The curriculum will demonstrate how our many teams, including trading, software engineering, research, and business development, collaborate every day to solve complex problems. Participants will also attend a social event, which will provide additional opportunities to get to know Jane Street and the other program participants.
Selected students will arrive on the afternoon of July 28th and will depart on the morning of July 31st. Jane Street will provide travel to and from New York, housing, and financial assistance for meals and other incidentals. Our office is located in Brookfield Place and the hotel where you’ll be staying is just a few blocks away.
